Title: Business Development Analyst - Federal Capture & Pipeline
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.) - occasional travel to Reston, VA headquarters
Reports to: VP, Growth and Business Development
Clearance: Ability to obtain Public Trust required; Active Secret a plus
CyberData is seeking a federal Business Development Analyst to strengthen the front end of our business development growth engine. This role focuses on opportunity identification, qualification, capture support, and customer-facing writing, not delivery analysis or CRM administration.
You will work closely with growth leadership and the Solution Architect to ensure opportunities are well-shaped, well-positioned, and high-Pwin before entering proposal.
What You Be Responsible For:
Pipeline Ownership & Opportunity Qualification
Maintain and mature CyberData's federal opportunity pipeline across tools such as:
GovWin IQ
Bloomberg Government
SAM.gov
CRM systems
Identify, qualify, and prioritize federal opportunities across:
Health IT and analytics
Cybersecurity and zero trust
Cloud modernization and enterprise IT
Track and assess pipeline health, opportunity maturity, and timing
Capture & Competitive Analysis
Research federal customers, mission priorities, and procurement trends
Analyze incumbents, competitors, and likely teaming partners
Support teaming strategy development and partner outreach
Conduct quantitative Go/No-Go and Pwin assessments before pursuits advance
Customer-Facing Writing & Positioning
Personally develop or heavily edit customer-facing materials including:
RFI and sources-sought responses
White papers and quad charts
Capability statements and teaser one-pagers
Executive summaries and cover letters
Ensure materials are clear, credible, and require minimal leadership editing
Capture Support & Handoff
Produce concise capture briefs that:
Summarize customer needs and procurement strategy
Identify discriminators and win themes
Highlight technical and competitive risks
Support early customer call planning and capture discussions
Serve as the bridge between pipeline development and proposal solutioning
Required:
4-9 years of experience in federal business development, capture, or pipeline analysis
Demonstrated ability to write polished, customer-ready front-end materials with minimal editing
Hands-on experience using federal opportunity tools, including:
GovWin IQ
Bloomberg Government
SAM.gov
FPDS
Strong working knowledge of federal IT domains:
Health IT
Cybersecurity and zero trust
Cloud migration and enterprise IT
Data and analytics
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
Strongly Preferred:
Current or recent experience at a small or emerging 8(a)/SDVOSB federal contractor
Prior career at a large systems integrator or GovCon BD shop (Leidos, GDIT, Booz Allen, CACI, Deloitte, OST Global, KeyBridge, etc.)
Direct success supporting SDVOSB or 8(a) set-aside pursuits
Direct capture support experience on Health IT or cybersecurity pursuits
Veteran status (strong preference - we are a proud SDVOSB)
